About Me
Hello! My name is Tracey Bruner Maddox, and I am the mother of five grown children and grandmother of ten. I am deeply passionate about guiding children on their journey to self-discovery, confidence, and resilience. As a dedicated children’s life coach, my mission is to help young people navigate the complexities of growing up by equipping them with the tools and mindset to thrive in every area of life. My background includes formal training in coaching methodologies, along with years of hands-on experience working with children of all ages and backgrounds—including foster children and at-risk families involved with the court system.
At the heart of my practice is a simple yet powerful belief: every child is unique, gifted, and capable of greatness. Childhood is a time of exploration, learning, and sometimes uncertainty. My role is to create a safe, supportive space where children feel heard, valued, and encouraged to express themselves authentically. By nurturing a growth mindset, fostering emotional intelligence, and encouraging self-reflection, I help children embrace challenges, celebrate their strengths, and set meaningful goals for the future.
Children’s life coaching is a collaborative process focused on personal development, emotional well-being, and goal-setting tailored specifically for young people. Unlike tutoring or traditional counseling, coaching centers on a child’s strengths, aspirations, and potential—rather than just academics or behavior. Through guided conversations, creative activities, and practical exercises, I support children in building confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and overcoming obstacles at school, at home, and in friendships. I believe coaching should be fun, interactive, and tailored to each child’s personality and interests. Sessions often include games, storytelling, art, and movement, making the process both enjoyable and effective. Using evidence-based techniques from positive psychology, mindfulness, and solution-focused coaching, I inspire children to take ownership of their growth.
I also work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure coaching aligns with home values and routines. Through updates, resources, and encouragement, I help families reinforce positive habits and nurture growth outside of sessions. I am committed to planting seeds of resilience, curiosity, and joy. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to shine, be heard, and step into their future with confidence and hope. Together, let’s build a foundation for lifelong growth—one child at a time.
